Re: Global economic crisis: Worldwide stocks in freefall again
Someone mentioned a "flat bottom"......I have experienced this in both Alaska and Vermont in the real estate sector.....specifically in the "second home market". When homeowners hit an upside down point on a second home......they run. It takes years to recover from these events. The trickle down economics in these situations can involve entire resort communities. Prices hit an absolute bottom and stop and the local economies become lethargic.
Has anyone checked the cruise ship prices lately? They are dropping daily. The wife and I can go on a 7 day Caribbean for less than $1000 out of Mobile or NOLA.
Would this be described as a cash scramble?

Ok. For some reason, I thought since it was a Federal Holiday, the stock exchange would be closed too.

Does anyone know where I can get a minute graph of that Dow Jones that is updated every minute or 5 minutes? I really want to see what it looks like! :rollercoaster:

The most frightening deal about this "crisis" are the rapid swings. Not good, consistent is always better.
Let's hope for a green close. The wife and I will be in different cities next week. We don't like being apart during any sort of turmoil. Don't kid yourself.....this is affecting all Americans.
Heck, rumor has it that Warren lost 16 billion with only 54 billion remaining? Poor guy.
I'm losing confidence.
Are we approaching a one rule government worldwide? They are meeting in D.C. this weekend. From all over the place. They are in the air right now.

Thank you, but it doesn't show minutely data graphed. I found a few others that are really good too but none with minutes.

It's more normally called a One World Government or a New World Order. We are approaching it

I was wondering if todays stock market swings made any records.
Just on CNN they showed a big title on the background screen that said "Past Recessions" and then a big bear beside it

The closing numbers are not that bad for the day.
We need a weekend calm.

I'm (hoping?) the fact that it did rebound somewhat today(compared to the past 4 days) is that maybe the bottom is near?
