We didn't get quite as cold as expected (only down to 28-30F instead of 27F), but it was definitely still our coldest morning so far this autumn. I just took a walk to Starbucks for a coffee and it was the first time in a long while that I had to actually put on gloves.
I guess the only real plus side about this cold is that there is no wind associated. 28-29F with calm air feels 1000 times better than 28-29F with wind!

Some areas just outside the Austin metro reported mid 30s. I had a low of 44 degrees at my house in southwest Austin. Forgot to turn the heat on inside the house so it was almost as cold inside!

It was 27F at my house in south Tulsa this morning, and it was below freezing for 8 hours.
The eggplant and okra are history and the tomatoes are looking bad, according to my wife. I would imagine the petunias and marigolds in the front flowerbed are gone also. I wonder if the iceplant I imported from California survived???
I am in Philadelphia today, where there was snow in the northern suburbs and we had a cold rain all day downtown.
Gotta love the fall weather extremes!
