6? Wow, that is way too few.......

We had only about 30. Definitely down from oh 60 to 70 as in past years. I think our neighborhood is comprised of families with teenagers or older children. Which leaves very few little trick or treaters. It's kind of sad really.

And as usual I bought too much candy.....LOL

We have a lot of candy left over - we usually do. I'm just surprised that there weren't more out since it was a Friday. The curfew was still at 8:00 pm. I think that fewer people are driving their kids to other neighborhoods. Plus, we had the Phillies World Series Championship Parade today - over a million attended and it didn't end until after 5:00 pm.

I had 5 and they were all kids that hang out at the bus stop behind my home in the morning. I told them all this morning they were welcome to come by.

No one else came so I guess I have to eat the rest of the candy by myself. Shucks and darn!

I have you beat cajunmama-I only had 3,besides my 4 grandkids! We've never had many since we've lived here, but it seems there is less and less every year. I think most of the kids in this area all grew up and moved on.I miss handing out candy to the little ones.

I had a LOT less than normal. I normally have around a hundred or more. I only had 50-60 kids, which is odd since there was a homecoming game down the street that ended at 8:30.

We only had about 15 or so this year. I was prepared for at least 50, since we ran out of candy last year. 3 streets over where our Associate pastor lives his wife said the kids were wall to wall and we are in the same subdivision too. Lots of twix bars and Sponge Bob Square Pants candies left for David!!!

We had zero. We're on a cul-de-sac in a gated community.....I don't know what happened? I will ask the guard this morning if the gates were open for outside trick or treaters. We had Hershey bars and Reeses ready....

Miss Mary & Fact: ONLY 30 and 50? lol Thats alot.
As usual I left our scary talking butler serving bowl filled with candy while we were out and it looks like maybe 3 or 4 kids got candy. We live on a dead end but put the Jack O Lantern out by the road with the candy so people can see it well. As kids we loved scary dead ends. lol

We left my sorry neighborhood and went to the in laws, lots more kids and even a block party going on. We had tons of fun, and tons of candy. Im sure I will be throwing some out come December. But we are going to try our darndest to eat every last piece. :P

I was very suprised... I didn't think we'd have any (being in a foreign country), but we had 30-40.

I've got to make things really creepy for next year!

I went and got some candy from winn dixie today. One of the things I got was Hershey's kisses Candy Corn. Candy Corn flavored chocolate!! It was very odd biting into one and tasting it. Very distinctive taste. Very good too!

I hit up target yesterday for the 1/2 off halloween candy. They had bags of reese cups normally $2.50 and there was no halloween graphics on them and i got them for $1.25/bag. Great deal! Got some other good stuff too!

No kids did show up at my house. Maybe parents are still angry that i handed out cigarettes last year.

Unlikely....the kids were prolly swiping their parents ciggies anyway....you saved them money and helped advance profits into the cancer centers.

I had about 50, which is a lot less than last year. I expected this Friday to be HUGE. But, I guess I was wrong. I think the kids are getting older. It was sad. I live on a nice suburban street with 70 houses spaced about 20 feet apart with plenty of other streets nearby. The community is not gated and some years we welcome many guests. Which is really fun. I still don't understand why we had so few kids. And, it was all over by 8:30.

I figured out where they all went!!! They were at my Associate Pastors house. His wife said they had over 500!!! I'm sure it was a lot less than that, but from the way they described the chaos my guess would be well over 100.
