Re: What are you watching this Fall?
UPDATED: On the heels of declining to order more episodes of three dramas, ABC made a trio of midseason scheduling decisions.
-- "Scrubs" will have its ABC premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 9 p.m. ABC will run an hour of back-to-back episodes for two weeks. Then "Scrubs" will settle into as a single half hour at 9 p.m. The network hasn't announced what half-hour program will run complete the hour, though one likely option is the new Mike Judge animated comedy "The Goode Family." AICN notes Tuesdays at a 9 p.m. has significance for "Scrubs," that it's about the same slot NBC used to launch the program in 2001.
-- ABC has made official its previously reported plan for "Life on Mars" to run after "Lost" on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. "Mars" will go on hiatus next month, then join "Lost" in originals starting Jan. 28. (Update: ABC has ordered four more episodes of "Mars.") The "Mars" producers, I'm told, are pretty excited about this move. "Lost" is a lower-rated lead-in, sure, but the feeling is that "Mars" viewers have more in common with "Lost" fans than "Grey's" fans. Plus, it takes some of the pressure off -- it's no fun losing 50% of your lead-in.
-- Also as previously reported, "Private Practice" will air after "Grey's Anatomy" -- and sooner than anybody thought. Starting Dec. 11, repeats of "Practice" will replace "Mars" after "Grey's." On Jan. 8, "Practice" will return to originals. Sources say the plan gives "Mars" some needed additional production time and helps ensure there will be original episodes ready when "Lost" returns.

If you watch that video, someone breaks an underwater boat or sub window, and water rushes in. My first thought was it could be Charlie (because I am still not 100% convinced he died). Then again it could be Jin or Michael. But watch for that frame, it happens very quickly.
All I know is I can't wait! With the way the economy has tanked and we're not spending ANY unnecessary money, it's free to watch Lost. LOL!

Re: What are you watching this Fall?
Screw those overpaid whiny babies. I'm sick of this cloud hanging over everything. Do they not realize another strike is going to kill scripted TV and then no one will have a job? Blah!
Anyway, it'll probably be January before they do and I still have my doubts they'll get 75%. At least, they better not.

My apologies if this was posted already.
Eli Stone will not be renewed past it's original 13 episodes for its current second season, which is still airing. I have trouble getting all of my taped shows watched before Sundays now, so I have last week's episode still unwatched. I'm tempted to erase it but then I want to see if Eli begins to admit he has feelings for Maggie. Oh the dilemma......do you get further attached to a show that is doomed?

Watch it . . I am still going to watch it and Pushing Daises. . . but then again I know Pushing Daisies will be continued briefly in another format after it's ABC run is over. .

I did watch it. LOL!!! Couldn't skip it and then erase it - oh no! LOL
The episode was quite good. What I find remarkable is that I didn't like Maggie at first, she was too immature and inexperienced. And now look at her. And it didn't hurt that Eli got a glimpse of his future. I just would like that future to begin to take hold before the show ends. That's all!
I was all set to watch a new episode of Desp. Housewives last night. Hrrrrmmmpppphhhhh! Oh well......at least I am now finally, finally all caught up on my shows.
To begin anew again - I have 5 shows tonight!

TV Ratings: '24: Redemption' Helps FOX Win Sunday
NBC's NFL coverage and ABC's American Music Awards are also competitive
November 24, 2008
Fast National ratings for Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008.
Fueled by NFL overrun and the triumphant return of Jack Bauer, FOX scored a rare Sunday win.
Overall, FOX averaged a 7.8 rating/12 share to top the competitive Sunday landscape. CBS was a close second with a 7.3/11, followed by the 6.8/11 for NBC and ABC's 6.3/10. Only The CW failed to generate much of an audience, doing a 0.4/1.
FOX also won among adults 18-49, doing a 4.6 rating in the key demographic. ABC moved up to second with a 4.3 rating, while NBC's 4.0 rating wasn't far behind. CBS was a distant fourth with a 2.6 rating, while The CW's 0.2 rating barely made a ripple.
At 7 p.m. FOX had a 9.5/15 for NFL overrun and post-game, nipping the 9.1/15 for CBS' "60 Minutes." NBC's football pregame was third, while ABC's red carpet for the American Music Awards drummed up only a 3.5/6. The CW' "In Harm's Way" had a 0.4/1 for the hour.
The 8 p.m. hour was extremely tight, with ABC's AMA coverage and NBC's NFL action both doing a 7.4/11, while the first hour of FOX's "24: Redemption" had a 7.3/11. CBS' "The Amazing Race" was fourth with a 6.2/9. The CW aired "Valentine, Inc," but nobody really watched.
The NFL game between the Colts and Chargers pushed NBC into first at 9 p.m. with a 7.9/12. ABC's AMAs were second, barely beating the 7.6/11 for "Cold Case" on CBS. FOX's "24" film was down to fourth, with a still-solid 6.8/10. The CW's "Easy Money" was fifth.
NBC's football won the 10 p.m. hour with a 7.9/13. ABC's AMA telecast closed with a 6.8/11 and CBS' "The Unit" had a 6.3/10 for third.

Did anyone watch DWTS tonight? Some incredible free style dancing going on. Looks like a Brooke and Derek win to me.

Sure does look like it and they are fantastic/the best, but then again, I get the impression that Warren is more popular among the callers. So, I wonder if he'll be able to overcome the judges' deficit to Brooke. This is, afterall, partially a popularity contest.
Regardless, I'm really looking forward to the return of the seemingly loony (I'm assuming an act) Cloris. She's such a trip. I give her credit for being in good shape for someone in their lower 80's. I loved her in two Mel Brooks movies: "Young Frankenstein" (Farblucha (sp?)...the horses loved her) and "High Anxiety" (Nurse Diesel). I also remember the MTM offshoot, "Phyllis".

I was all set for DH too!
FYI, if anyone has wanted to watch a show in its sophomore year but never had the time, make time - Big Bang Theory. It's just one hilarious joke after another. Hint - the quirky, odd character of Sheldon Cooper absolutely steals the show. He's what you get when you add Niles Crane from Frasier and Felix Unger from the Odd Couple. Last night Sheldon was making a serious attempt at polite chit chat - LOL!!!!
I watch a lot of shows these days but Big Bang is my favorite must-see show right now (if I had to choose just one). That is until Lost premieres....LOL

TV Ratings: 'Dancing' to ABC's Tune on Monday
CBS still wins the 18-49 demo
November 25, 2008
Fast National ratings for Monday, Nov. 24, 2008.
It comes as no surprise that ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" juggernaut dominated on Monday with its finale competition episode.
Overall, ABC averaged a 9.6 rating/15 share for the night, topping CBS' 7.7/12. NBC's 3.8/6 beat out a 3.0/5 for FOX. The CW was fifth with a 1.3/2.
Among adults 18-49, though, CBS finished first with a 4.1 rating, followed by ABC's 3.7 in the key demographic. NBC came in third with a 2.7 rating, trailed by FOX's 1.9 and The CW's 0.8 rating.
ABC started out of the gate strong at 8 p.m. with a 12.5/19 for "Dancing With the Stars." CBS came in second with a 6.1/9 for "Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother." NBC finished third with a 4.0/6 for "Chuck," while FOX's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" was fourth with a 2.9/4. The CW's "One Tree Hill" repeat was fifth.
In the 9 o'clock hour, ABC's "Dancing" (13.9/20) and "Samantha Who" (7.7/11) stayed on top. CBS followed with "Two and a Half Men" (9.0/13) and "Worst Week" (6.4/10), while NBC's "Heroes" nabbed a 4.6/7 for third. FOX's "Prison Break" came in fourth, beating the 1.5/2 for "One Tree Hill."
CBS moved to the top for the 10 p.m. hour with a 9.1/15 for "CSI: Miami." ABC's "Boston Legal" was second, still well ahead of the 2.6/4 for the already cancelled "My Own Worst Enemy" on NBC.

We think so. Each episode is just as funny as the previous one. Never a dull moment. It's funny when Sheldon's "normal" family members show up - his mother for one (who played Jackie on Rosanne) and then his sister. His sister once told him - oh I just tell my friends you're a rocket scientist. Sheldon didn't take that bit of news well, she was trying to impress him and he was insulted! Saying he was so much more than a rocket scientist! LOL
Keep watching Big Bang.
