I hear ya but I'm not posting as much as during hurricane season but I'm reading everyone's posts since I can't talk about a snow threat for S Florida.I'm hoping for some good arctic fronts done here.

Not quite South Florida, but I recall a pretty good freeze around Christmas in Orlando, FL 32813 around Christmas 1983, and a frost in late february or maybe early march 1984.

Yes, that is correct. The high temperature in Orlando that Christmas was only in the middle 30s after a morning low near 20F. It was the coldest Christmas ever officially recorded in the city.Ed Mahmoud wrote:boca wrote:I hear ya but I'm not posting as much as during hurricane season but I'm reading everyone's posts since I can't talk about a snow threat for S Florida.I'm hoping for some good arctic fronts done here.

The majority of our members our southerners. We really don't get much snow, blizzards, etc here in the south. Hurricane season is our busy time. There are those of us that are here year round though. We're starting to get some coloradians (if that is such a word).

I live in PA and do haunt the board during the "off-season" for summer, just that during the weekend I'm not on line much.
If anyone cares we might get 4 inches of snow Thursday night into Friday from the weather news I've been hearing, but we'll see if it pans out (the knees are telling me we're gonna get something though, lol!)

This board has been much more lively lately with EWG, Ed and other's posting about the potential cross-polar arctic outbreak coming up. Other than that, weather's been pretty boring here in Texas lately. Not sure what you'd want to discuss. Talking about Wind Advisory's isn't exactly exciting.

Wind advisories and droughts bring out heated words all the time.

101 more days or so and counting....
It's not even officially winter yet, and you're already looking for spring.

I'll take your snow.

Being a member of this board for as long as you have cheesy, you know that we go through lulls. No big storms on the horizon, snow, severe or tropical, though we do have a storm developing in the Plains that cause be a source of severe weather.

Yeah there are lulls, but with a major pattern change in making for the plains, id expect it to be busier. On the contrary, it is a bit busier today than yesterday or the day before, when there were maybe 5 or 6 posts the whole day from what I can remember.
