Wow. Sounds like you guys down there are getting weather that is much more exciting than what we saw up here this afternoon. We only had a glaze of ice in OKC today with mostly just some freezing drizzle and small snow flurries coming down. Nothing too extreme at all.

It was exciting for about 15 minutes then it all went away. I got about 30 seconds of video, it looked a lot more impressive if you were actually here. I'm not sure if the video is worth posting in here or not.

It was exciting to see! Hopefully next week is even better.

I got some video. It's snowing now. If I can find a place to host it, I can try and post it.

Someone on KHOU forum said New Braunsfel, TX is getting pounded with sleet, the temp is freakin 46 degrees there. How could that be?

It's done that here in Dallas before. If it's cold enough up in the atmosphere it will come down as something frozen regardless if it's not below freezing on the ground.

I hope I'm right about that.

High was 81F here before the cold front. Currently 37F, windy (25 mph gusts), rain (yippee!!!) and thunder.

The dog is not getting her nightly walk! It's raw out there!

no mixed precip? 37 is snow weather especially if the upper atmosphere is colder.

I've seen sleet in the low 50's before, it all depends on the layers of the atmosphere.

I've also seen 33 and nothing but rain(that's the worst), and low 40's with snow, again, it all depends on what it's like above the ground.

lol ive had it at 30 with rain once, which I didnt think was possible. It was raining, even though it was cold enough to have icicles on everything 10 feet above the ground and up.

Here's a short vid I uploaded to youtube. Hopefully it came out decent, since it was at night.

I changed it. It's not really that exciting, but hey, it's snow in Texas.

Excuse the watermark of the company I used to convert the video. I don't feel like registering. ;)

Looks like a lot of areas N of I-10 will see at least some type of Winter precip this evening into tomorrow morning. If some of us are lucky maybe the rain preceding it will cool it down enough for some for most of us. Not about to hold my breath though or I'd be the same color as the snow on the radar!

Dude, it caught me by surprise ... walked into my son's Christmas concert and it was 57 degrees (by the car temp reading). Walked out about 2 hours later and it was 36 degrees, rain and sleet with gusty winds. I think the temps got much colder than anyone thought. Gee, why am I surprised?!
