But it sounds like he has a good backup plan with his prior experience in MHMR.

Whatever happened to Jeanetta Jones?

I saw Dave and his wife at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston about 3 months ago. He was there as a patient, going through testing. Good suit against TWC if they had any clue about this and let him go. I am not claiming he has cancer, but he was there for testing of some sort, so who knows.

NBC and the 2 other groups Blackstone and Bain Capital bought TWC in early September since Landmark Communications is selling every asset they got.

All on air mets are degreed, it was the policy of Frank Batten (TWC originator/founder) that it be the case. This was to lend credibility compared to many networks of the day not having mets on air (the day of the pretty "weather girl"). Some are higher educated with Ph.ds and such, but they all have a met. degree of some sort.

Schwartz would be great for a weather comedy bit on the comedy network for a short term project, then return to more serious stuff. He could also look at going onto Sat. Radio too....there is always options.

John Coleman came up with the idea, and Frank Batten made it happen.

Better source than wikipedia:
The Weather Channel: The Improbable Rise of a Media Phenomenon (Hardcover)
by Frank Batten (Author), Jeffrey L. Cruikshank (Author)
A great read. I read it when I started doing business (video stringer work) for them. Always good to know your client.
