Congrats to Houston. Just when EWG leaves, you get the snow! :froze:

Enjoy it. Holding out for a minor version of the 2004 Christmas snow down here. We still have 2 months to get it.

LOL. I know. I feel as cheated as you. We only had flurries and freezing drizzle in OKC yesterday, yet down in central and SE Texas they are getting accumulating snow! What's up with that!? :grrr:

Just a few flakes at Westheimer & Post Oak, don't think it would accumulate even if surface temps were sub-freezing.

Just got a call from a friend in Sugar Land reporting a decent "fat flake" snow fall. Still getting light rain mixed with sleet/ flurries here in Bear Creek after a good snow for about 30 minutes this afternoon. Fun!

Hey all, Portastorm's Snow-on-top-of-Lucy Texas Tour continues ... last night I was home in Austin and got to enjoy some magnificent fluffy snowflakes and today I'm in Houston on business and saw the snow fall late this afternoon while driving in the eastern part of town. This is pretty cool! 8-)

I may need to schedule a trip to Dallas next week or something at this rate!

I'm happy for our H-town friends. Enjoy the sleet/snow/graupel while it lasts.

The snow continues to come down here in Spring Branch and is starting to accumulate on vehicles and roofs. I ahve to go to choir practice in about half and hour. I have some pics and maybe a video of the snow that I will try to upload later tonight. We now have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect till midnight.

I wonder what the earliest snow we have had in Houston is? I have been in Houston for 37 years and haven't seen it snow this early.

Fear not!!! It is almost to you. I would expect onset of flakes within the hour. :D :D

I actually will not be surprised if you get more than we do. It seems to be winding up as it heads East.

Doggonit!! I'm right between two bands of precip - just cold and nasty here in Bear Creek right now. Dave - be careful out there on the way to church; and I don't mean only the slippery streets. I've noticed people's driving skills are more along the lines of bumper cars since Thanksgiving.

I know it won't last, but for now it's coming down almost as hard as the 05 event when I received about a foot of snow.
