S2K Facebook?

#1 Postby KatDaddy » Fri Dec 12, 2008 8:47 pm

Facebook is a great place for networking. Several S2K members are in my network. S2K needs a Facebook.

Do you ever have those days when you fly of the handle with excitement and realize its old news. Wow! I do tonight. I need a vacation. I am already a member to the Facebook S2K.

Isn't that how "Tila Tequila" of MTV, who has no particular talent of any kind, became famous?

I am not a major contributer here, so this is just an opinion.

I don't think that the moderators and administrators need another think to work with, and manage. I'll bet it is time consuming enough to work with, regulate and so this forum. Although the idea sounds good, I think the better approach would be to post a thread or send a PM to other members here if they are on facebook, and can they exchange info.

Right now I don't know anyone on this board, and I'd be a little relunctant to share my social networking information, or accept friend invitations from folks unknown people. But perhaps the admins. will chime in on this one.

The admin (maybe it was the mods, I dont remember) started a myspace if that calms your worries. Neither of them take much moderating or work. Many of us have been here for a long time, many of us know a lot of people on the board and talk to them quite a bit, and some of us have met others.

FYI... I'm not sure who runs Storm2k facebook, but it isn't the Storm2k staff. However, we do have a MySpace page.
