We just has a pretty good graupel shower go through here. It put down a very light dusting of accumulation as it passed by.

Temperatures are also now down to a bone-chilling 18F outside.

When should it reach SE TX, assuming it will? NWS forecasts a low of 63° tonight and a high of 76°F for tomorrow. But I guess that is what is supposed to drop our temps to a "cool" 48°F tomorrow night and a high of 61°F on Tuesday. I guess it isn't supposed to be as impressive down here as it is up there, or are they just way off, I wonder. It's pretty warm today (currently 69°F, but a predicted high of 76°F), and the forecast for the next few days is also on the warm side, considering it's the middle of December. Not very Arctic-like.

It's quite windy out there, though. We have a wind advisory.

With the colder trending temps north of here, the NWS hasn't adjusted the forecast any colder for us. In fact, they raised it a tad. Tomorrow night's low went from 48° to 49° and the high for Tuesday went from 61° to 63°

It's 60 out right now and we're under an ice storm warning. I was a bit surprised to wake up and see a much icier forecast than anticipated.

Well the temp here has fallen all the way down to 26....pretty cold considering it was 65 at about 10pm last night. Looks like we'll escape icy conditions tonight and in the morning, doesn't look like there will be a lot of precip but it doesn't take much of freezing drizzle to cause trouble here.

Well, they finally lowered tomorrow's high. The low for tonight went from 49° to 47° and Tuesday's high went from 63° to 49° - how can the models be so bad that they cause forecasters to be so off?

Because they aren't forecasting...they are model casting...and they need to be schooled in the art of forecasting arctic air...since arctic air schools them EVERY SINGLE time.

Its quite shameful and they should be embarrassed. I think the high for Tue from 4 days ago was to be in the 70's.

I'm surprised they haven't stormed the NWS Brownsville office to take over their old spots. The current crop down their worships every run of the GFS as gospel.

It is extremely cold in OKC this morning! At 8:16am, temperatures are hovering between 14-16F with wind chills close to 0F. There are also a few areas of light snow showers/flurries around the area too. None are happening in my vicinity right this moment, but that may change soon.

Front was obvious at the Galleria- real dark, like heavy rain imminent, but just sprinkles, now ceiling are way-lo, half the ~900 foot Williams Tower is obscured. Wind sock at Williams heliport now from the Northwest. I don't trust it completely, too may tall buildings around it.

Canadian shows the next Arctic front arriving, but it looks like precip ends before it gets too cold, and no obvious disturbances of consequence immediately upstream.

GFS looks quicker with the front, but it shifts brunt of Arctic high Eastward, and keeps the cool down brief.

Euro looks possibly interesting tomorrow morning, and shows a vigorous Arctic front for the weekend, but moisture looks lacking for winter weather fun.

Cold w/o snow is just cold.

Still only in the upper teens to near 20F here at 1:42pm. It is starting to look quite likely that our forecasted high of 24-25F by the NWS is going to bust by several degrees.

What amazes me is that the Norman, OK NWS has actually raised our forecasted low for tonight and our forecasted high for tomorrow. What are they thinking!?
