Mine:

1. Rio De Janeiro will be awarded the 2016 Summer Olympics, becoming the first South American city to host an Olympics.

2. California will see its first M7.0+ earthquake since 1999.

3. At least one state's supreme court will declare ban on gay marriages is unconstitutional.

4. A city will be struck by a strong tornado. This seems to happen in years ending with "9". St. Louis (F4 in 1959); Wichita Falls (F4 in 1979); Huntsville (F4 in 1989); Oklahoma City (F5 in 1999);

5. The situation in Zimbabwe reaches a breaking point. Clashes occur and nearby countries intervene.

6. A streaker disrupts Obama's inauguration.

7. A panda in China gives birth to triplets. It would be only the second time a panda had triplets in captivity.

8. At least 7 world leaders will ask Hugo Chavez "Porque no te callas?"

1. Gas prices will remain at low levels

2. Stock Market will rebound to above 14,000 by the fall, but the average American will struggle for most of the year. One automaker will fail.

3. Record cold affects much of the Central and Eastern U.S. all the way into Florida in January, along with a major snowstorm for the Southeast

4. Major hurricane hits the U.S. East Coast, Gulf Coast is rather quiet

5. Major earthquake strikes California

6. Assassination attempt on Barack Obama

7. Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich will be impeached and removed from office

8. Israel will strike Iran

9. Chicago wins the 2016 Summer Olympics

1) Osama Bin Laden will be found dead.
2) Israel will use tactical nuclear strikes in the middle east.
3) WalMart will be renamed ChinaMart.
4) A tsunami will hit the Pacific northwest coast of the United States.
5) Avian bird flu will arrive on the North American continent.
6) A Cat 3 hurricane will make landfall in the northern GOM.
7) There will be a significant landmark discovery in the prevention of breast cancer.
8) Ammunition sales will require a privilege permit.
9) Al Gore will recant his global warming observations after record snow pack in the Rockies.
10) I will become a grandfather.

I'll give this a shot:

1)Major winter storm hits PA/NJ/DE with excess of 20 inches sometime in February
2)Cat4 hurricane hits the NJ coast mid-August
3)Obama won't make it till the end of the year.
4)The economy will continue to worsen, several major chains will go under; Sears, J C Penny will be 2 of them.
5)Gas will be under $1.00/gal by July
6)Yellowstone will explode.
7)Tornado season will be worse this year, several F4 and F5's will hit the midwest
8)A major black-out will hit the midwest and western states for several days in the summer
9)The Eagles win the Superbowl...finally
10)Phillies win the World Series!

There may be more, but that is enough for now.

12. STORM2K is recognized publicly by the NHC as the best tropical weather site on the net(I wish they would give out that type of recognition!)STORM2K once again breaks the record for number of members on site during a TC and is publicly recognized by a states Emergency Management office for our help in dissminating up to the minute TC information.
13. The Pakistani/Indian conflict will escalate into at least a border skirmish with at least on Nuclear bomb detonated.
14. Israel will attack Iran wiping out their nuclear ability.

I have to add one more so I get at least one right.
15. I will become a grandfather for the first time in February(She is due in March).

There has been a solid and deranged core of people that despised George W Bush the past five years or so. Keith Olbermann comes to mind. Plays, novels, posters, all imagining an assasination.


The US Secret Service is that good.


If President Obama doesn't make it a year, it'll be Yellowstone, or his cigarette habit.

Not impossible, but as the lowest seed in the playoffs, every game will be on the road.


I do think they'll win their Wild Card round game, which will be enough to save Andy Reid's job.

Nope. There is also the outside possibility that a terrorist organization will attempt the dirty deed. Imagine the civil unrest in this land if such an event happened. Remember our civil war and riots of the sixties?

5. Mexico and Portugal fail to qualify for the 2010 World Cup
6. The Yankees miss the playoffs...again
7. The entire state of Wisconsin goes into depression as the Packers finish 4th in the NFC North next year, a game behind the Lions
