...Heat Advisory For Today...
The combination of high temperatures in the upper 90s to the low 100s combined with high humidity will push heat indices into the 105 to 110 range today.
The excessive heat and humidity will make a dangerous combination for individuals if proper precautions are not taken. Excessive heat kills people by taxing the human body beyond its ability to cool itself.
Children... the elderly and people with chronic ailments are usually the first to suffer from the heat. Heat exhaustion... cramps... or in extreme cases heat stroke can result from prolonged exposure to these conditions. Friends... relatives... or neighbors should check on people who may be at risk.
It is going to be a hot one today!
