3/4" at my house so far from yesterday until about 4:30 this morning. Still raining. We sure needed this!

In other news - it took me 1 hour and 6 minutes to get home yesterday (Tampa to Pasco) and my husband took 2 hours and 10 minutes from Clearwater to Pasco. :double:

oops....saw 'last hour' and thought it was in the 'past hour' at the time of the run....it's an interesting map...looks back at something we have to look forward to get to. The nature of the forecasting game.

High temp forecasts for south florida have already been surpassed....as of 6:30am update, Fort Lauderdale was forecast to reach a high of 76F and Miami reach 77F. As of now, Fort Lauderdale is 79F and Miami 80F.

Looks like SFL might be getting a little. Not much, but maybe half an inch if some areas are lucky. If only these fronts could extend down here more often lol. Hopefully we will get another dosage of rain on Monday.

Small but seemingly strong line of storms forming and entering Broward and Palm Beach counties from the west, heading my way.

Owing to a huge Pressure Gradient and deep well-defined low over the north central gulf and associated trough and potent front.

there goes the rain chance...heck, even the yellow shaded areas represent 0.1" - 0.2". net impact overall of this front will only be further drying out of the land...be it though the low humidity or the winds that will follow. I would hazard to guess that dewpoints staying in the 60s to 70 as they are ahead of the front would be more beneficial to mositen the land up than 0.1" of rain followed by dewpoints in the 30s and brisk north winds.
