Re: Westminster Dog Show
I love dogs, don't get me wrong. But why the heck is this on sportscenter? is walking a dog a sport now? Whats next? A yo-yo competition?
Needless to say though, there are some really cool dogs at these shows.

Edit to add: How neat the sussex spaniel won. And he's 10 years old!
Edit to add: The 10 yo sussex spaniel won best of show. I was pulling for the puli.
Actually, I was pulling for the Deerhound. I was really happy to see that 5 out of the 7 breeds in Best in Show competition never won the Westminster.
Stump almost died in 2004. His handler said that his systems pretty much stopped functioning and he was in the hospital for 19 days. He won "Best in Working Group" in 2003 at Westminster.
I loved how he sat up and begged after he won. Stump is also the oldest dog to ever win Westminster.

And he is from Houston.

I was thinking of this thread today because I knew the show started tonight.

Alright, I'll take the French Bulldog instead! They are so cute too!
One of these days, a Boston has got to win best in group.

Re: Westminster Dog Show
The Scottish Terrier won. The way she was groomed, it looked like she had eye lashes - is that how they are normally groomed?
I still liked the French bulldog. The Whippet was pretty too - she looked like a chocolate sundae.
I'm not partial to poodles, but I must admit the miniature toy poodle was cute.
I honestly thought that the Doberman was going to win.

The Scottie was gorgeous.
The French Bulldog's eyes are so expressive, much like a Pug or a Boston Terrier. I loved when they showed the close ups of the finalists, the first one being the French Bulldog and you could hear the audience going "AWWWW..."

Re: Westminster Dog Show
I can't even begin to guess with the hound group. They're all good looking dogs.
