#1 Postby Ed Mahmoud » Fri Feb 13, 2009 10:20 am

Joe Bastardi is calling for a "Blockbuster" winter storm passing near thr 40ºN 70ºW "benchmark" for big ticket Northeast Winter Storms!

He is going with the Euro...

A windy beast it'll be, if the Euro is correct...

12Z GFS 990 mb low over Albany would mean mostly rain in the I-95 corridor...

12Z Euro- primary low into the Eastern Lakes, but it looks like a bit of a coastal low, maybe enough to save the snowy day for NYC

Different low. I think JB is close to admitting defeat.

Mid 980s low crossing the Eastern Great Lakes, just another quick snow changing to rain storm in the Big Cities.

GFS looks promising for Sunday, however.

Looks like a near miss on NYC, mainly a New England event, but at 5 days out, it has time to change.
