Strange question .............

Our cat just had kittens almost a week ago. We saw her take two of them out of the box and on to the floor with her, what we needed to know is the normal and why is she doing this????????? There is 4 of them. If anyone knows why any advice is helpful Thanks

Maybe she's looking for a different hiding place for the kittens? Have you thoroughly cleaned up from the birth? IF I remember rightly, mothers in the wild tend to give birth in one place and move to another to raise the babies. The smell of the afterbirth attracts predators.

On the other hand, it could be an indication of abandonment on the part of the mother, so keep a close eye out that she's nursing all the kittens. You might want to call your vet for advice before it's an emergency.
