We have extreme fire danger here in southeast VA due to low humdity and moderate winds.
About an hour ago law enforcement on routine patrol happened on a small grass fire a few hundred feet from my home. Theres a fire station nearby and firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out.
Please be VERY careful when smoking outdoors as it only takes one ember from a ciggy to create a disaster. Do NOT toss your butts out of your car(you shouldnt be doing this anyway!)
Use extreme caution with outdoor grills or better yet dont use them until the fire danger has passed!

I'm glad that they got to it in time!
I hope the Spring is wet for the Southeast, Texas and Mid Atlantic. I hate seeing any area in a drought situation before the summer.
