Same here! Daily! Hey years ago when I'd go camping with my dad, brothers and their wives, I'd wash my hair in the lake! I'd go off the back of my dad's boat, take a bar of Ivory soap, shampoo and conditioner and wash, while floating. My family couldn't believe I'd go even one day without clean hair while camping. I felt so clean after that lake bath. LOL Not a real bath......but at least my hair wasn't greasy!

Here's another funny story to share that starts out on a somber note. You all know I'm a cancer survivor and had MAJOR surgery almost 10 years ago. The first oh 2 or 3 days were truly a blur but by the 4th and definitely 5th, my hair was beyond greasy. I kept asking if I could get it washed (since the nurses were giving me sponge baths). But each time I'd ask about my hair they'd shush me, oh no, you're not in that good of shape to lean over a sink! But my pillow case smelled AWFUL. Almost to the point of gagging. A good friend of ours wanted to visit me and as my husband is telling me this over the phone I was wailing - I have dirty hair, no, no, no, please no visitors. So on my 6th day, I walked into my bathroom, got everything ready (shampoo/conditioner, towels, etc.). Then I leaned over as if I was putting my head under the faucet. Waiting to pass out. Since I wasn't dizzy, I went ahead and washed it. Sure enough, an hour later a nurse busted me. She took one look at me and knew someone had washed my hair. I laughed but quickly said I did it, so no one would get into trouble.

It was so bad I was about to go down to the hair salon in the hospital (but it really was a throw back to the days when you stays for days in the hospital, for anything under the sun and the nursed claimed it was rarely open but I complained "then why would you tempt patients like me with that sign on the door, Hair Salon!" I would have paid $50 that day for a wash!).

I was not a happy patient, oh no and my hair was the absolute dirtiest it ever was!

I'm sorry Mary :( That had to be rough.

Too true Kelly - with as hot as it gets down this way, I can't imagine not washing my hair everyday. Plus, I work out everyday, so it's a must for me (that how I justify myself to T lol).

Cindy - oh it was a rough time. I know those nurses thought I was crazy since I had so much more to worry about. But I'm just one of those women that has to wash her hair every single day. And when it got to be 6 days - SIX - it was driving me crazy! I was about to ask my husband to bring baby powder next time he visited. I was desperate for clean hair! Of course he didn't get it either......LOL But then I managed to do it myself and didn't keel over. I felt invincible that day! he he

I know Mary. We were without electricity for a week after Gustav and I was washing my hair with cold water! I couldn't take it, it was making me nuts. And that 'dry' shampoo - that stuff does NOT work!

I think we do have our priorities straight - WE NEED CLEAN HAIR!!! lol

You know one mistake I used to make, in my effort to make my hair seem full, is I thought I had to use stiff mousses and hair sprays. It only dried my hair out. And then my hair would come out in my brush - sometimes I'm amazed I still have hair left on my head!
