At what time you go to bed?
Bedtime for me generally is around 11:30 PM. However, when the tropics are hot,I stay up well pass midnight,to around 1-1:30 AM.
What about you?

Re: At what time you go to bed?
uhh.. No earlier than 2am here. If its a test night, 3am. During the Hurricane Season it could be as late as 8am. If I am out somewhere or on a trip, it can be as late as 5am, and dont forget the all nighters!

LOL
Ah to be young again.....you sound like my daughters (both in college right now)! They're night owls too. When they're both home, they stay up very late which somewhat disrupts our routine (old fart parents, who go to bed "early"....LOL). Also the dog is in a funk because they take her favorite couch that she sleeps on and keep all the lights on, TV blaring and they stay up like this past 3, talking, laughing. It's somewhat funny. Our dog is 9 and even she is telling them in her own way - go to sleep! LOL (They tell me she lets out very loud and forceful sighs.....so cute. But even dogs get cranky without their sleep!)
Enjoy these all nighters while you're young.........I never thought I'd say sleep is a must but now that I'm in my 50s - IT IS!

Re: At what time you go to bed?
i always loved to go to bed early, i was one of those weird kids. haha
Now, im forced to pull the all-nighters with my work schedule ( i do 3 all nighters a week) its tough staying up all night, many times i have this over-whelming need to sleep especially when it gets to 4am , i find if i sit down too long, i begin to hallucinate for bed hahah those times, i just have to get up and go walk around to give me the energy to stay up til the end.

Mimi time is usually around/just after 10 pm CDT.
One of the things that cheeses me about daylight savings time is I can see the new GFS before bedtime in the Winter, but have to stay up late in the Summer.
Saturday is sometimes closer to midnight.

Here's a question - to those that "get by" on less sleep per night than you ideally need or should have, do you feel sleep deprived by the end of that work week? Experts say you can't, that each 24 hour period is separate and weekly total sleep time can't be accumulated (hope that makes sense). I have to disagree. If I have a few nights in a row of little sleep, by the 4th or 5th night I am literally dragging and if I do the math on how much sleep I've lost that week, sometimes it adds up to another night of sleep!
So I try to get 7 hours a night so this doesn't happen to me by Friday.
Just wondering if anyone else is dragging by the end of their week, from getting by on too light sleep each night.

Re: At what time you go to bed?
I'm in bed by about 10:30 pm.
I usually am dragging by the end of the week Miss Mary. I have to differ with the "experts" myself. I usually catch up on the weekend and I feel better. Plus, haven't there been studies about people taking a quick cat-nap for about 20 minutes and they feel refreshed? Their claim also seems to go against trying to get more sleep at night to feel more refreshed and to boost your immune system. If we aren't sleep deprived, then what is the point?

I have to agree with you Steph. I catch up over the weekend too. And feel better going into Monday. For the flip side of this, it is possible to get too much sleep or sleep well past when I normally get up and then I have that oh so fun caffeine withdrawal headache. Sometimes on the weekend if I wake up around 5 or 6 am I take 2 ibuprophen from a bottle in the bathroom and then I don't wake up later with a headache.
But I definitely feel better after I've caught up on lost sleep.

My late afternoon pick me up trick is one cup of hot tea......with two tea bags. Strong!
Anymore than that and I have heartburn. But his one cup of strong tea seems to wake me up again so I can get thru dinner and evening activities. Usually TV shows (we have quite a few...LOL).
And now all the younger members are saying to themselves - wow, never realized how many older, very tired members we have at S2K!!!! LOL

Same here, if I could. I'm usually hitting the coffee pot in the afternoon at work though.
