Yellow alert in Guadeloupe...rainy episode

Hi everbody, Meteo-France has issued an yellow alert this afternoon at 5PM. The weak trade are helping the convective clouds to developp and give us nice amounts of water given the last weather forecasts Meteo-France. In my location we're experienced nice rains showers for two hours and this rainy episode should persist Sunday and maybe Monday . Nothing to kill a cat or a dog, but for all carib islanders keep an eye on the weather during this episode especially for those who are in the Leewards Islands. I will keep you inform if the situation evolves quickly...

Good morning all, us in Guadeloupe are always under an yellow alert....
I check the latest weather forecast of Meteo-France this morning and we should continue with this risk of strong showers added with maybe our first thunderstorms of the season if the conditions of convection and the weak trades continue ( from south est at the surface, and from south to south ouest in the upper levels).
Areas from Lamentin to Capesterre have experienced yesterday night 60 to 100 millimeters in less than 12 hours !
Another round of strong showers (60 to 100 millimeters are predicted and more) will concern us during the next 24 hours...with a brief but not impossible risk of tstorms.
As usual all carib islanders of the Leewards especially, be prudent in this rainy episode, but be safe.
I will keep you inform if the situation evolves quickly...
HUC, what's the weather like in Basse-Terre??? Seems that Basse-Terre has experienced nice amounts of water yestarday night, hope you're ok, once again if you have any infos tell us, i will be glad

Absolutely quiet in Basse-Terre,my location (SO tip of the island ); but some clouds are growing right now.With some 90% of relative humidity this mornig,and no wind,but a light NO sea breeze,some rain is possible.
TO ed mahmoud,the volcano is also since few years in "yellow alert".... That's not a reason to say that our butterfly island is one of the pretiest in the world

Yep Huc, glad to see that in your reply, things are becoming pretty good in my location, the sun is trying to shine shyly with numerous puffy grey clouds all is not ok but a change is somewhat in tape, but let's wait a bit .

As Huc well said it... but "Ed Mahmoud" we never know especially in a island the risk 0 cannot be denied, we should be at anytime in "alert", on our guard. Whereas i advice you to go here and discovering the wonderful sites of our island, you will not forget i'm sure. Do you have an idea of the canes which have striken us?
