buh bye Lil-PLEASE!!! A HUGE disappointment from what she started out like. She just has not grown at all. If anything she has gotten worse. Not bad tonight, but she needs to go home.
Anoop-home? Matt home? maybe, he did well tonight, but I think it may too little too late.

Kris, Adam, Allison, Matt, Danny, Anoop, Lil in order

1. Adam
2. Kris
3. Allison
4. Danny
5. Anoop
6. Matt
7. Lil

I think Matt will go home but I wish Lil would.
I really think Adam is amazing and should be in the top two. Kris is perking my interest. Allison has a really unique voice but I feel she's too young. I have liked Danny from the beginning and still do.

Matt and Lil should go home tonight, but I think it will be Matt and Anoop. . . . they need to keep Lil one more episode. . .

Last season's runner-up, David Archuleta, singing his latest single, "A Little Too Not Over You." Disco legends Harry Wayne "KC" Casey of KC and the Sunshine Band, Thelma Houston and Freda Payne will also be there to perform a medley of their boogie-fever hits, including "Get Down Tonight," "Don't Leave Me This Way" and "Band of Gold" on tonight's result show.

Why do they need Lil one more episode? Not enough girls? I think she is somewhat like Ruben from season 2. I think she has a huge calling group set up like he did. As good as he is Ruben only won because of the calling groups that had set up.

Not enough girls. . . I can see TPTB holding off a week on her dismissal from the show.. . I don't see her in the top 4

Adam, Kris, Allison and Danny. I think those will be the top four.

DialIdol has it too close to call but has Lil in 1st place and Kris and Allison as the bottom two?!(remember two people are going home tonight and there is no judges save). Now that would be a shock. If Allison goes I will be completely stunned and the judges will be very unhappy they used that save last week and Kris is pretty much the same way. I'd rather see Matt or Anoop go than him.

I dug some old, old AI links to some forums and found this;

Fwiw from Mj's blog:

John Jay and Rich, the morning DJs at KISS Phoenix reported on their radio show this morning that something “big” is going to happen on tonight’s results show–something that’s never happened before.

The DJs are in Los Angeles–broadcasting from Ryan Seacrest’s studios–to attend this week’s Idol shows.

They also had the opportunity to hang out with the Idols on set. There, they learned the details of what will go down tonight. They were told NOT to discuss it on radio this morning.

Well, the people on the radio show said:

(paraphrased)

"Normally people only watch the last two minutes, it's a useless show...but tonight, something big is going to happen...never been done before....we can't tell you...but we can say, you have to watch the whole show tonight"

What could happen mid-show that is so interesting?

Maybe Paula is refusing to sign a new contract unless Kara leaves. This report sort of fits with what that twittering DJ said.

and there were assorted mutterings about an all male top 5

Wasn't dialidol off on a few of these? I'd have to say Lil and Matt as my preferences.

Well yes, it is not perfect, and the fact it's too close to call means anything can happen, but I feel like there's going to be a shocking boot. I HOPE Lil goes but I am not at all confident. There could be a backlash against the judges for driving the bus and running her over with it last night. But maybe not, we'll see. Also the fact 2 are going increases everyone's odds and with it apparently close makes it more uncertain, plus with the save out of the picture the time is ripe for a shocking boot. Lil could go and the other boot could still be shocking also.

I wonder how they will do it. Two bottom two's and one from each goes at separate times(a few minutes apart)? Or a bottom four with one sent back to safety?

As for these "shocks" related to Paula, I'll believe it when I see it. I don't believe Idol's overhyped nonsense anymore. Ratings are still down and I know they want more people to tune in.

I couldn't watch last night and just flew through the episode. Then I was shocked to see DialIdol with Lil at the top and Allison at the bottom. Seriously? Image I know DialIdol hasn't been all that accurate lately, but still.... last??? I realize that a lot of people like Lil, and I don't think she's bad, just not even in the same league as Allison, IMO. Oh well... what can ya do? I didn't vote, so I guess I can't complain. (of course that really doesn't stop me. lol)
It'll be a huge shock if Allison leaves this early. She's one of the best.

Each one really sounded good too on that song.

Lil sounded great with that - why the heck didn't she sing like that the whole friggin' competition???

Lil gone.

That was... sudden. Thought they'd wait til later, lol.

and YAY! DialIdol fails in a good way.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... what the heck is THIS?!

Kris, Adam, and Danny safe.

Anoop in the bottom three(I guess Lil is in the bottom three still, lol)

Get on with it Ryan!

Matt safe! Allison in the bottom three! I can't see both girls going(though that would be unprecedented to have a top 5 of all guys) so my pick is Anoop.

David Archuleta next. *searches for the remote*

Anoop gone. Thank God.

That was a sampling of some of the disco stars - unfortunately, showing their age...

I still got up to dance though. :cheesy:

They should just tell Adam that he should stay seated...

It's Anoop - probably Matt is next. ERRRR - scratch that!

Maybe there is an upset and the speculation of a 5 male top five is correct.

Sorry David, I don't like this song.

The rumored change in voting this year:

As if this show hasn’t jumped the shark yet, this week will probably do in the Idol franchise. After adding in a top 13 with a different number because Idol didn’t plan ahead and think to buy 1-866-IDOLS-13, adding a fourth judge that says nothing interesting and hits on the contestants, changing the semifinal format to eliminate any contestant who has any bit of controversy, and announcing the judges as they walk in as if people care about them… apparently there is another twist. Rumor has it that the judges will be deciding who goes home out of the bottom 2 or 3. If Idol thinks its ratings are down now, just wait till they unleash that puppy.

I dont think it will matter if they put thier hand in it or not because if your in the bottom 2 or 3 now your chances are slim you will live to see the top 8...

Heck ill even go further and give the top 5 and see how I do...

Alexis,Adam,Lil,Danny, and Allison....

3 out of 5...Not great...Still think Alexis got hosed though...

I usually watch the first few seconds of the group dance, then promptly FF through it. I kept watching tonight. It was kind of funny (in a good way), and I thought they were great. They had a little Abdul 7 going on there.

*whew* I was nervous with Allison & Anoop up there, but glad Allison was safe! I liked Anoop some weeks, and didn't like him other weeks... he was pretty good, but probably time for him to go.

I still think Matt probably should've been the other one to go, but then after that it would be Anoop. I have Adam #1 and a distant second tie of Allison/Kris/Danny. Each of those three are so different. I think I like Danny's singing the best.

Rat Pack Night tonight

Matt Giraud - “My Funny Valentine” (according to a Michigan radio station)
Kris Allen - “The Way You Look Tonight” (via poster who spoiled Kris’s song correctly last week)
*If by chance these are wrong, I’ll have the confirmed spoilers plus song order right after dress rehearsal.

Jamie Foxx is mentoring. And unlike previous seasons–the Top 5 traditionally perform 2 songs each–the kids will only get to perform one song tonight.
