Funny pet stories......

#1 Postby Miss Mary » Mon Apr 20, 2009 12:37 pm

I know many of us have pets......so feel free to contribute.

Just comical, funny, stories that make you laugh like crazy.

Our dog was just a puppy but she liked to keep cool by lying on top of our registers, it was summer so the A/C was on. Only our oldest daughter was home and the rest of us were out. Suddenly our dog stood up only to discover that her tags were caught inside the register grate. She was frantically trying to free herself but the register was as big as she was. Our daughter said she didn't know what to do. The sleepy puppy was now agitated. And since we were all new at this dog thing, she kept trying to free the dog. Finally she took her collar off and then pulled the register out of the floor. Our dog calmed down but to this day, 9 years later, she will walk over to any register in this house and inch her way over to peer down inside the vent. As if the register is going to attack her. It is so funny to watch. She's afraid of registers!

My dog Ernie is 8 years old and weighs 14 pounds. When he was a puppy he weighed about 5 pounds and was no bigger than a minute. One evening my pastor and his wife were visiting. Now Ernie had a habit of walking along the back of my couches. We were having a lovely conversation until Ernie started "humping" the pastor's wife's shoulder. Sooooooooo embarassing.

LOL @ Ernie! And here she thought you invited her over for just coffee. That had to be embarrassing!

I'm Presbyterian so very few ministers or their wives drink. But, my pastor's wife was having a glass of wine. What a sight - the Presbyterian minister's wife drinking wine and being humped by a dog. LOL

When we had our daughter's dog, Domino, she would catch a small football thrown by my oldest son. We would ask her if she wanted to play football and she would go get the little football and hold it in her mouth . She was a smart dog, she knew something was not right with the oldest grandson and he has proven her right. He is in trouble at school for something he did and then lied about.
