I love Jordan but she was hitting some bad notes on that song.

Okay, I can do without Katy Perry. I'm with Danny - the suspense, commercials is too much. LOL @ Adam!

I would have liked to see Adam vs. Danny. I dont like Kris very much, but the screech should have killed Danny last week.

Danny - THAT was Beautiful! :(

I thought it would be Adam and Danny. One of the best Top 3's they've had.

I was sorry to see Danny go. He has a much better voice than Kris. Kris is a cutie though.

I haven't had time to watch the performances or the results show, but heard who left. Bleh... didn't really care what happened after Allison left as she was my last favorite remaining. I wish Danny had left last week instead of Allison. I have been really surprised by a few of the ones who lasted a lot longer than I expected, while better singers/performers (IMO) went home, but what can ya do? America made the call... sometimes they just make poor choices, though. ;)

I would have liked to have seen an Adam/Allison finale, but I don't usually get what I want.

Here's my take on the final 2, for what it's worth. Adam is by far the superior live show singer and performer, but I find Kris is the true artist. I can't see myself going and buying an album of Adam's but I would buy Kris's. Consequently, I would have more fun at a Lambert concert than an Allen one. In all actuality, I think they were the season's strongest in those two categories. Alison was the second strongest singer with Danny being the next best artist (IMHO). I think America definitely got the final four correct and the final two as well. We shall see which factor America goes for in the finale.

I also think that there is an inside chance for Kris to win because Danny went home. Most of Danny's fans appear to be anti-Adam. Those that stay with the show seem more likely to vote for Kris. We shall see if that is enough to send him over the top.

Word on the street mjsbigblog is that Tuesday, the last two contestants standing will perform three songs apiece: The Idol "victory song" (possibly written by Kara DioGuardi); one track selected by producer Simon Fuller; and one "greatest hit" from earlier in the season (although I'm hoping Kris and Adam go the David Cook route and select a song we haven't heard 'em do before)

Two contestants, three rounds. Ryan Seacrest explained how it will work on Friday’s Larry King Live:

Round One - The Contestant’s Favorites - Favorite song from the season is how Ryan described it.
Round Two - Simon Fuller’s Pick
Round Three - The Winner’s Single - There is only one coronation song this year

Paula Abdul chatted with Johnjay and Rich on their KISS Phoenix radio show this morning. She spilled a couple more tidbits about the American Idol

Danny Gokey will be dueting with Lionel Richie
Santana will be performing with all the kids

• Also confirmed to appear: Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah, Black Eyed Peas and Keith Urban
• Jason Mraz is set to appear, according to his website
• Keith Urban will duet with Kris Allen
• Allison Iraheta will duet Cyndi Lauper
• David Cook will perform the song “Permanent”, according to a MySpace message from Our Lady Peace.  The performance will be downloadable from iTunes with all proceeds going to charity
• Rumored to appear:  KISS and David Bowie (to duet with Adam Lambert)
• Also rumored:  Britney Spears (though Perez says NO)

Where the heck Carrie Underwood fits into the show I don't know

Adam #1 Nothing short of amazing... Love that song. LOL Simon.

Kris #1 Also amazing, I can't pick a winner

2nd round, Adam was better

3rd round, very close, the song was boring.

This is a tossup IMO but it's obvious who the judges want to win.

WOW, they finished on time. I don't believe it. Now off to watch Glee.

ROUND 1

I LOVED that production of Mad World! I loved the fog, the hollow bell in the background - more HAUNTING.

Randy - who the heck dressed you tonight???

I love Kris' version of Ain't No Sunshine - just not the falsetto at the end. I like how he "rocks it up" in the verse "I know,..."

No, it was a tie Simon.

ROUND 2

What the heck CAN'T Adam sing??? HOLY COW!!!! R&B, rock, Motown, he can pretty much do it all. I can't wait to d/l this one "Change is Going to Come" from ITunes.

Great job with "What's Going On", Kris. I think that Kris is finally making it his own by "tweaking" the song but not totally changing it.

The song may have been "light" for the evening - blame Simon Fuller but not Kris. Great interpretation.

Thank goodness Simon Fuller is picking the songs instead of Clive Davis. He would've had one of these two, probably Kris, singing "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" again. :double:

This competition is reminding me of Season 2 - Ruben and Clay.

ROUND 3

The song is okay. I've never been 100% impressed with the majority of the "Winner's Songs". I think the tempo suited Adam's style of singing, but we'll see.

I'll be interested in hearing Kris's interpretation.

I still don't like the song. This song requires drama in the performance and vocals - that's Adam.

No Randy, it's better for Adam, but the song still sucks.

At this point for the first time, I can see both of them winning. Originally, I was going to vote as I always do for the final, but I have decided I dont care. They are both great, but I think Adam will still become much more well known then Kris simply because to Kris' personality.
