Cyclone Monica

#1 Postby arkestra » Wed May 27, 2009 2:20 pm

Hi,

I wonder if there are any re-analysis for Cyclone Monica. Her disputed records for low pressure are still intriguating, and in my opinion, investiguating her case deeper could be of some interest for the weather community.

Thanks!

It would be up to the Australian BOM to do the reanalysis on Monica unless some researcher wants to do a paper on the storm. Monica was a real hummer of a storm and clearly one of the most intense ever recorded globally but without any in situ measurements of pressure the issues regarding her lowest SLP will never be resolved.
