Susan Boyle sang again tonight on Britain's Got Talent. She sounded just just as superb as before.

EXCLUSIVE: "BIG BROTHER" RETURNS TO CBS ON JULY 9

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The 11th season of "Big Brother" will premiere Thursday, July 9 at 8:00/7:00c on CBS, network sources confirmed to the site this afternoon.

The series will then continue on Sundays at 8:00/7:00c and Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c, a slight deviation from last summer's initial schedule of Sundays at 8:00/7:00c, Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c and Wednesdays at 8:00/7:00c. (Two weeks later, the latter edition moved to Thursdays at 8:00/7:00c in place of "Greatest American Dog.")

Meanwhile, "The Big Bang Theory," "The Mentalist" and "How I Met Your Mother" are set to move to their new fall homes starting next month.

"The Mentalist" will shift to Thursdays at 10:00/9:00c beginning June 4. Repeats will still continue in its old Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c home until "Big Brother" takes over on July 14.

"Big Bang" likewise will jump to Mondays at 9:30/8:30c starting June 8 with "Mother" assuming the 8:00/7:00c slot on June 22. "Rules of Engagement" will fill out the night at 8:30/7:30c.

In addition, "48 Hours Mystery" will expand to twice a week starting June 2 with episodes airing Tuesdays at 10:00/9:00c and Saturdays at 10:00/9:00c.

I am, I've been watching since the beginning(although I hated the first two episodes), it just keeps getting better and better and it's incredibly creepy.

For those watching I'm a Celebrity... major developments have happened this weekend and NBC could be in big trouble.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/07/heidi-and ... -tortured/

Serves them right if the reports are true. FOX never stooped this low with their trash reality they used to have. I'm no fan of Spencer and Heidi and they knew what they were getting into when they wanted to come back, but NBC can't be allowed to get away with this nonsense.

I don't know how much i believe that story. Isn't this the couple know for doing anything for attention? I googled gastric ulcer to see how long it takes for one to develop and couldn't find anything. Sorry Heidi, i'm just not believing your story.

I've never even heard of the show. Image But I don't watch anything on NBC, including that racket they call MSNBC, so I never see their TV ads or anything. But just reading the little bit on TMZ... why do people do these stupid reality shows? There have only been a few that worked out well and the rest are just junk and/or trashy junk. IMO, anyway. And I get enough drama in my own life... I don't need to watch other people's.

I did record that reality show the other night but we haven't watched the episode yet. Just wanted to see what all the talk is about.

Currently we are watching several shows:

The Alaska Experiment (concludes Tuesday night) on the Discovery channel.
Expedition: Africa on the History channel.
Weeds returns with the Season 5 premiere Monday night.

and.....

IF I am really, really, really bored I record Jon & Kate, Plus 8. But the last episode was sad so I skipped over most of it. Then I felt guilty watching this train wreck of a family/marriage that no one seems to want or can stop.

I think you're right. They seem to be pathological liars. I never liked them anyway, they acted like spoiled brats in the first episode like they were expecting a 5 star hotel. Here's another side of the story which says Spencer/Heidi were actually inside a shelter(and that it was only overnight, and they had food/water the whole time) while the other celebrities suffered through a night of pouring rain and that someone else who is unnamed has quit.

http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2009/06/ ... gh-we.html

Still though I find this show to be a complete disaster and it strikes me as mostly fake. The set is a little too quiet for the middle of a jungle.

Re: What are you watching this Summer?

If anyone is interested:

"My Name Is Earl" might live on.

Weeks after NBC pulled the plug on the series starring Jason Lee, TBS is in preliminary talks to order 13 new episodes of the single-camera comedy from 20th Century Fox TV, sources said.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... f304daa944

BTW, just a ratings update: The top original shows of the summer so far are: Wipeout, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Bachelorette. America's Got Talent returns on June 23rd to NBC(the #1 summer show the past 3 seasons), Big Brother on July 9th to CBS, Hell's Kitchen on July 21st, and The Moment of Truth on July 29th, both on FOX. Better Off Ted returns to ABC for more new episodes on June 23rd(it's coming back at midseason next year), while burnoff episodes of canceled Samantha Who? will air on Thursdays starting June 26th, and Surviving Suburbia/Goode Family are now on Fridays because of very poor ratings.

In non-primetime ratings, Conan has lost 60% of it's premiere audience and only beat Letterman by .1 last night, is 30% below what Leno got. Stupid NBC. In the evening news race, notably the CBS Evening News and Katie Couric hit an all-time low in Nielsen history last week.

The Out of the Wild: Alaska Experiment concluded last night. It was a good show, unlike Survivor the group hiked every 4 days to a new destination and had to make camp there. Hunting, fishing, making fire. This group cooperated very well together. Very little bickering. A few complainers. One girl opted out 2 days before they made it to a small town. What a complainer, she had been whining for days at that point. Yes the group was only eating one meal every 3 days or so and it was below freezing, with blizzards but still she had to know 28 days in, the show was about to conclude. They found train tracks, waited for a train which took them to a small village. Waiting were their families. That was a nice touch. 9 started out, 4 remained at the end. One of the 4 I thought one in particular would be a goner within a week, the girl who said she couldn't live without her iPod. LOL! But she hung in there and rarely complained.

To compare, History Channel's current Survivor-type show, The Africa Expedition is produced by Mark Burnett. Lots of drama, lots of bickering on that show. I'll continue watching it until we cancel our cable. LOL (we're about to yank it, for budget reasons....).

I miss Survivor! (can you tell? LOL I've caught up now with past seasons on DVD rentals. dang, wish all the seasons were released on DVD by now).

Besides Weeds, we're without shows right now. That Africa show just doesn't count as must-see-TV. And we'll have to give up Weeds soon...

Maybe I need to rediscover books or something....LOL

Fox will premiere the bulk of its schedule prior to the official start of the 2009-10 season, including new musical comedy "Glee" and cult drama "Dollhouse."

In addition, the network has set Saturday, Nov. 7 as the premiere date for its new weekly late night series, "The Wanda Sykes Show."

As for primetime, Fox will roll out four nights of programming between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18, allowing it to get much of its lineup in place before Nielsen begins officially keeping tabs on seasonal ratings Sept. 21. Fox has gotten a head start on its premieres in past years as well, so the strategy isn't a surprise.

While Saturday unscripted shows "Cops" and "America's Most Wanted" will debut new episodes Sept. 12, Fox's first big premiere night is Wednesday, Sept. 16. That's when "Glee" has its official series premiere.

"Glee," which had a successful sneak preview last month, will air at 9 p.m., behind the fall season premiere of "So You Think You Can Dance."

The next night, Sept. 17, Fox's new Thursday lineup premieres, with "Bones" at 8 and sophomore thriller "Fringe" at 9.

Fox's quasi-premiere week wraps Sept. 18 with the second season debut of Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse" at 9. New comedy "Brothers" and returning half-hour "'Til Death" air at 8 and 8:30 p.m., respectively.

The network kicks off the official premiere week Monday, Sept. 21 with a two-hour episode of "House." Sophomore drama "Lie to Me" moves into its new 9 p.m. Monday slot on Sept. 28.

"Hell's Kitchen" will still be in original episodes on Tuesdays come fall, and it will serve as a lead-in to the Tuesday edition of "Dance" starting Sept. 29.

Fox's final premieres will be its Sunday animated shows, which this year return on Sept. 27. In addition to "The Simpsons," "Family Guy" and "American Dad," the block will now include "The Cleveland Show" at 8:30 p.m.

FYI - if anyone is interested in catching reruns of the Big Bang Theory, they are airing 2 tonight. One right now, it started at 8 and the other at 9:30.

Our youngest daughter in college loves this show and it's difficult to watch full episodes on the network's website (only short video features of certain episodes). Of course you go to hulu but for now, we're enjoying watching these reruns with her, since they're new to her.

Not watching too much T.V. here but am following Mantracker.

"Two people take off into the bush with a map, a compass and a head start. The tracker is on horseback, armed with a local guide and an arsenal of forensic skills. The prey have 36 hours to reach a finish line some 40 kilometers away without getting caught. How they escape is up to them.

This season covers terrain from the Maritimes to the prairie Badlands to the Coast Mountains of Northern BC and Mantracker is counting on his sidekicks to guide him through it. The prey may know each other going into the chase, but will the pressure of being hunted cement their bonds or destroy their relationships?

The prey are looking for glory. Mantracker is looking for them."
http://www.mantracker.ca/

Like many Canadian productions there isn't any prize for outwitting Mantracker.....but the winners do get bragging rights.

A couple of shows have been shot in the badlands of my province. I really enjoyed the one where he hunted two Barrie police officers from Ontario. "They're smart, they're tough, and they've prepared. But Buck and RJ arent used to being pursued. As tactical officers with the Barrie Police Force, they're used to doing the pursuing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYnHy1s8 ... re=related

Another really good one was when he tracked two young ladies through the mountainous terrain of British Columbia. It was fun to see two young bushwise girls give him the runaround. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq_hulxcO9Q

Yeah we wanted to watch the episodes in a legal way. We are aware there are other sketchy ways to watch videos and since we don't support these sites in any way, they're off our list. Thanks. I did know about itunes, but forgot I guess.....we'll look into it.
