Ahmadinejad also says the Holocaust never happened, there are no homosexuals in Iran, and Elvis is alive.

Did Amadinejad come in third?

Mr Mousavi's cancellation of the protest came as sporadic disturbances continued around the Iranian capital, and reports circulated of leaked interior ministry statistics showing him as the clear victor in last Friday's polls.

The statistics, circulated on Iranian blogs and websites, claimed Mr Mousavi had won 19.1 million votes while Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won only 5.7 million.

CNN was suggesting today that the elction result may be legit. While Ahmadinejad was obviously crushed in the capital, he seems to do very well in the rural areas

I guess it was last Friday night on NPR one of two invited guests (Iran experts) commented about when he would think the elections were possibly rigged. He said most of Ahmadinejad's support was rural: 14 million voters about. So if an election result of 28 million came in, Ahmadinejad et al would have some explaining to do.

I believe the published results were about 28 million Ahmadinejad::14 million Mousavi.

Thank you for your contributions to Storm2K Mr. Ortt. Very new here and enjoy reading all posters.

Twitter has postponed a critical maintenance until 1:30 am (5:00pm EST) Tehran time, so Iranian tweets could continue. . .The maintentance will bring Twitter down for 90 minutes..

A critical network upgrade must be performed to ensure continued operation of Twitter. In coordination with Twitter, our network host had planned this upgrade for tonight," co-founder Biz Stone wrote on the official Twitter blog Monday afternoon. "However, our network partners at NTT America recognize the role Twitter is currently playing as an important communication tool in Iran. Tonight's planned maintenance has been rescheduled to tomorrow between 2-3p PST (1:30a in Iran)."

ETA: 11:00pm Twitter was back up after hour at 6:00pm.

The unrest has spread to other Iranian cities outside of Tehran.

I found this to be very interesting: Iranian money, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and control.
