I guess no one noticed, but TD 1's TCR has been out for a couple days. Nothing really changed as far as I can tell; then again, I just skimmed it over.

I think Andres was actually 75 knots at his peak.

Between the differences in sat imagery from peak to when Recon arrived, plus the fact the smurf recorded winds of 67 knots (with a drop of 66 knots confirming the 67) on the surface at 1800, well after the sat appearance had fallen apart...leads me to believe he was closer to 75 knots.

This underscores why Recon is so important. Why can't we figure out a way to make drones that fly permanently off of sunlight or something?

*Edit to change "she" to "he"

Enrique just came out. Bumped up a bit to 55 kt. (Given the eye feature, the ADT and AMSU estimates, I would have gone a bit farther to 60 kt.)

Carlos is out - peak intensity kept at 90 kt but a highly uncertain estimate. (I would have gone 95 kt/974mb, I think it was a bit stronger considering its size but not with enough confidence to bump to Cat 3)

When I review the images of Carlos when it was displaying the pinhole eye I'm inclined to believe this was a major micro-cane at least. 90 Knots is too low and seems to be a number that sticks on these types of TC's in the Epac (See Hurricane Sergio 2006 at 95 knots).

Kevin is now out. Intensity kept at 45 kt - seems reasonable as a blend of QuikSCAT and AMSU.

How incredible it is that the NHC is finding time to write their TCRs during September.

Ana TCR is out; achieved TS status on 12/1200z, held it until 12/1800z, then weakened into a TD then remnant low; picks up again where the operational advisories do.

Noticed they killed off Ana for the last time in the BT a lot sooner than they did operationally.

Downgraded to TS at landfall. Peak intensity unchanged. All in all, it seems reasonable, although I would have bumped it to 120 kt at 20/0000 based on that 121 kt dropsonde measurement.

Linda downgraded from 75 to 70 kt. No real change with Fred, but that was all a guessing game due to lack of data.

The Fred TCR has been delinked from the NHC page, but the online page is still active. Maybe changes are in store?
