NK standoff is just that for now, but I wonder how long it will be before someone "trips" and causes a confrontation. My fear is that NK doesn't really understand the consequences like Russia and the US did.

I don't think he cares. What he thinks he will gain, I have no idea, but it's hard to logically understand what an insane person is thinking.

War is inevitable it seems now. These sanctions are doing nothing.

and the only acceptable outcome is the unconditional surrender of NK

To get that, we may need to institute censorship on the media as a large segment of the population won't stand for bombing women and children, even though that is required to obtain an unconditional surrender (UC is total victory and you can only get that when you have totally stopped the enemy from even producing war goods and have totally demoralized the civilian population)

I think that if this indeed does happen and the missle comes near ANY(US discretion as to what near is)US territory we should shoot it down. At least it would make the NK regime stand up and take notice. US territory could be a ship out in the middle of the Pacific, imo.

if they fire it at Hawaii, we should send 1,000 heavy bombers at the center of Pyongyang!

Japanese intelligence says NK may fire a Long Range Missile towards Hawaii in July

This is just me if I was in charge, I'd warn that such action will result in Pyongyang being lit ablaze.

Missiles will be falling on Pyongyang before that even gets close to Hawaii.

U.S. keeping an eye on North Korean ship

It may be transporting nuclear materials.I think they are testing the waters to see how the U.S. reacts.

:uarrow: I wish I had the faith you appear to in that statement. :uarrow: I have to stop or this will become political.

I agree 100% with this statement.

you're quite soft, cat 5

not only should Pyongyang burn if that missle comes within 5,000 NM of Hawaii (or any other part of the USA), but we also should take up their offer to end the armistice and cross the DMZ and turn NK into the Reich in May 1945 (and by that, I mean FLATTENED! EVERY SINGLE CITY AND TOWN TURNED INTO A PARKING LOT)

So now this North Korean ship captain leads the US forces into a trap? Could be some made for the media story to drum up support for US naval involvement in the area. Is this story playing in the Asian media as well?

A good question for those storm2k members that live in that part of the world.
