Ugh, I think I'm gonna die. My A/C was working this morning, but it started blowing hot air about noon. I've got a call into American Home Shield, who is supposedly trying to find someone to come out. I'm still waiting and the heat is getting unbearable. As far as I can see, it's not icing up, but the outside pipes are insulated and I couldn't tell by looking. It was hard enough dealing with the heat when the A/C was working... this is beyond miserable.

I need some of that rain to cool it down a little here. I can't take much more of this heat. They're not even coming to look at my A/C until tomorrow and that's apparently rushing it since they said they were working calls today from Monday and Tuesday! When I talked to them in the early afternoon, they had already well surpassed their max amount of calls permitted from American Home Shield per day. It's 18 and they had already gotten 40! Early afternoon and just through AHS! I guess there's a lot of people out there suffering like we are.
My unit is off now because it's hotter when it's on since it's blowing hot air. The compressor isn't kicking on. I can't describe how miserable it is.

Re: SE TX/SW LA weather: Summer Pattern-HOT!!!
The sky has officially fallen at my house!!!! We had a heck of a thunderstorm, not severe, but with winds gusting at least 40 mph and pouring rain and I think I heard a few small pieces of hail too. End result was 1.1" of rain!!!!!
Now I won't have to water till next week!! Currently 86.2ºf. It dropped to 78ºf during the storm.

You lucky dog. Measured a foot (between the drops on the pool deck at the most) The worst was smelling the rain and hearing the thunder, just to enough to tease me...

Edit to add:
Wasps...there are very few wasps and hornets this year. There's basically none. I know we've talked about animals and storms. Is there any correlation between wasps/hornets and weather?
You should see the wasp/dirt dobbers here...
