Aw, Pburgh, you beat me to my post. I was going to say exactly the same thing. I really appreciate how everyone handled themselves here. I thought that this topic was heading to the "No Win Zone" fast, but I was proven wrong.

For those who were vulnerable and revealed something of themselves, I respect that. It's something that's hard for me to do.

Jonathan, if you are coming to Montoursville this summer, PM me, and I'll give you my phone number, etc.

This thread has been a learning experience for all of us. I hope that we all respect each other for the deeds we do. Our character should speak miles more than anything else we do. :)

"HOLY COW!" :o What did I start here??? I hope to Hades that I haven't offened anyone, this was NEVER my intent, I just simply wanted to state that this was my first, up close and in person encounter with a cross dresser!

Johnathan......you have been and will ALWAYS be a friend, you have no worries from here

I haven't had time to read all the posts but geesh! I'll get back to ya's when I finish reading "IF" the next cell doesn't run me off line again!

Johnathan.....I'm sad. I guess that means there's no chance for me and you.

Ok, I'll admit it. I didn't see this coming, but I don't think any less of either of you. You are both wonderful people and what we learned in this thread certainly doesn't change that. I know it took a lot of courage to say what you said but don't worry.....if someone doesn't want to be your friend anymore, then they don't deserve you for a friend!! I posted something in another thread titled "Happiness" and a part of it said "A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart."
It seems to me like a lot of people in this thread are reaching for your hand right now. The ones who don't......you don't need them.

Love ya guys!! ;)

Wow, I'm impressed with each and everyone of ya'll. What could have turned into bitter arguments ended up with everyone showing each other such mutual respect.

Ya'll want to see crossdressers? Krewe of Apollo (the local gay Mardi Gras Krewe) has the most sought after Mardi Gras Ball and it is the best ball of the entire season. Their costumes are gorgeous. Straight people will do almost anything to get a ticket!

Duck & Rainband, wow, what good things can I say about the two of you that hasn't already been said. :D I have a relative (who after 4 children and a wacko husband) announced that she is gay. She and her partner have a better relationship than she had with her ex-husband). She believes she always had the tendancy to be gay. She is a much happier person now and you know what? No one who knows her gives a hoot about her sexual preference. Same goes for her uncle who is also gay. And the way I feel, their sexual preference is their business, not mine.

So everybody gather around for a big group hug. And let's follow that Bahama Mama - you know she's a cousin of mine! :jump:

Sorry for getting to this thread late. You know, 90L and all.

Johnathan, after reading what you have said throughout this thread, I now have an immense amount of respect for you. Coming out to us today took MAJOR guts man! Nothing else to add to what everyone else has said. Of course it goes without saying that we're still buds...just promise me one thing...COME TO CHAT MORE OFTEN!!!

I haven't yet weighed in, so I guess I should give my $4.95 worth (adjusted for inflation).

I'm very conservative politically, but I do NOT have any problem with people finding what happiness they can. My oldest niece is gay, and I was VERY hurt that her mother, my second-older sister, told her that I "couldn't love her any more"...this I found out at my father's funeral in FEB 99. What was she thinking??? :grrr:

I do take some exception to that tiny, overly-vocal minority within the gay community that feels it HAS to throw its sexual preference "in my face", in the most blatant and offensive (if not criminally chargeable) manner possible :o ...what each of us does is our business alone, and NOT for public consumption, thank you very much!

That having been said, AFLAC and Johnathan, do keep the courage of your openness about your orientation intact...I will be among the first to defend you, any time, any place. And you have THAT from...the streetsoldier.
