The four year anniversary of Dennis is 7/10/2005. Although it was overlooked due to later storms such as Katrina and Rita and Wilma it made quite an impact. We were still cleaning up from Ivan when we took a direct hit from Dennis just 10 months later. Its path was narrow but had a great impact on a lot of people. It was my first time to be directly hit by the eye of a strong storm and was quite an experience. It has been nice that Santa Rosa/Milton and surrounding areas have had a break the past few years

Dennis did a number on the tropical foilage in the Lower Keys during our time there. What a mess and a ruined vacation on the mainland. It certainly was the beginning of things to come that year. A season I will not soon forget.

Ya I live in tampa I remember Dennis wasnt even close to us and the winds from it were crazy for something so far away. It was like 40 mpg sustained for half an hour. I was Ybor city partying and they closed to the 7th avenue because of stuff was falling off the roofs on the people below.

Wow can't believe it's been 4 years. I remember looking out the window and watching the last 2 pine trees I had that survived Ivan topple over. That storm did a number on Santa Rosa county.
