Carlos over cool water?

#1 Postby hurricanetrack » Tue Jul 14, 2009 12:41 pm

Look at this loop and select the SST box to see the sea surface temps. Is that accurate? It shows 24-25C water where Carlos is and yet it is a wonderfully formed small hurricane.

Any idea on whether or not that SST data is accurate? If so, then wow, a hurricane over less than 26C water. Interesting.

Did you see the loop though? It showed cool waters when the SST check box is selected. Looks like a bullseye of cool water....

I discussed this in the Carlos thread. Those cool SST's continually shift to the west with Carlos. It's wrong.

Feel free to delete this thread then so as not to create confusion. It seemed odd, was wondering if it was right, thought it was not. Carry on.

Mark, the best way this thread will be out of the first page of TT is to let go down the drain without anymore replies.
