Where is the center?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Where is the center?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Thu Jul 31, 2003 3:42 pm

Let's see how all here say where the LLC may be located at the disturbance.

TPC has it at 9n
SDD has it at 9n
The tropical models are iniciating the 18z run at 9.6n

Well as I see the pics it is at 10n-37w as I type this.

I agree on the 10N/37W estimate. It's now below developing convection. Won't be long before it's upgraded if the convection persists overnight.

I had estimated the LLC around 9.3ºN, 37ºW on another thread. Anyway the area north of the LLC and pulling away should allow deeper moisture to fire deep convection over the northern end of the suspected LLC ...

Well this thread was made yesterday but another day has passed and a clear center is not found but somewhere in that big arra that covers the disturbance there is a mid level circulation and a LLC.I say this afternnon that if there is a LLC it may be around 12.5n-45w but the rest of you where you see a center?
