Honduras Convection

#1 Postby Sanibel » Sun Aug 16, 2009 9:45 am

Sorry to make a separate topic but there was nothing to put this into.

The Honduras convection is probably centered over land and moving inland but with the Gulf Low headed north any kind of flare-up in this area becomes worthy of note.

Anything thats close to giving S. Tx some rain I'll be watching. The coastal pressures were real low last night but thats about it, just doesn't look like favorable conditions. Maybe it will cross the Yucatan and give some relief to TX.

Heavy rain fell today in some places of El Salvador related to this system, I don't think it will have some effects on the gulf because it will be tomorrow on the EPAC but certainly it would be great if something happens to relieve the Texas drought.
