At what point does one give up the ghost on watering the lawn?I feel like I'm losing the war.

You know when you are tubing and you find yourself stuck off on the edge of the river under a bunch of low-hanging branches in a stagnant pool of slow-moving water with a bunch of debris floating in it and the water isn't going anywhere and you just go round and round.....Well, thats analogous to our atmosphere here in sc texas most of the time. That cool clear fast-running refreshing water out there in the middle of the river (where you want your tube to be) is the jet stream and it is where all the action is. The further you get from the Jet Stream the more stagnant your weather becomes. On average, South Texas is about as far removed from the Jet Stream as you can get in the lower 48. Of course, we won't get a chance to demonstrate this analogy again until we get enough water back in the rivers to tube again.
