i read your posts also and your usually thinking in the right direction ... so i will keep watching there is alot of energy there.

Aric, methinks you are leading us on. :D I've looked at the GOM and indeed there is a lot of convection, but the overall flow tells me there is not going to be anything cutting off or becoming tropical tonight. Still appears to be way too much Northerly shear coming in to allow any formation past showers/storms already there. You and I often agree on what is "coming down the pike" but not yet on this one. However, I NEVER SAY NEVER, especially in the GOM!!
