Re: Tropical Disturbances
The Euro has been predicting that a huge monsoon gyre was going to generate a typhoon similar to Morakot since last week, now it has been consistent with another typhoon on South China Sea. I think that the WPAC is still in time to recover from the below average activity we have seen, let's see what happens.

Next time a typhoon heads your way I'll make funeral arrangements in advance.

Theres a fine line between a love of weather and putting yourself in grave danger. you're hopes and dreams here could easily get you killed. I've walked the line myself, but I wouldn't challenge what you're talking about.

The problem arises when the debris hitting you hurts so bad you let go or your hands just slip and then you are tumbling down the street like all the debris with nothing to stop you but solid objects that will hurt or kill you.

Nah CAT 1's aren't much fun either. Katrina's eye wall hit us (Kendall) and it wasn't much fun.

Not exactly on topic here lol, but if people play it smart a cat 1-low end 2 can be alot of fun. I was living in Pompano Beach FL when Wilma came through, stood on my back patio and watched 110 mph gusts blow. i've never had so much fun in my life. i also lived in kendall when Andrew hit.. although i was only 3 and that was a bit much from what i remember haha

Yeah but the down trees, power lines and loss of power, runs on the gas stations not to mention the unbearable heat when the AC is lost are all part of CAT 1's and 2's. Wilma was interesting in the fact that after it passed the temps dropped nicely.
