Stephanie, "Fritz" is South Carolina Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings.

He had some comments against President George W. Bush this afternoon.

Well some of the issues that could ignite. First of all there is the unfinished business in Iraq and the yet unfound WMD. The North Korean issue, though it looks like happily for the time being that is heading toward some constructive talking. Another one of his so called axis of Evil Iran is closing in on the ablity to make a nuclear bomb and Bush has said a nuclear armed Iran is unacceptable. . The peacekeeping mission in Liberia is another and of course the economy and the threat of more terrorism on our soil. None of these may blow up in his face and I am not saying they are his fault its just there are several potential problems ahead in my opinion.:):) Just my opinion of course:):)

Ameriwx -Those are potential problems and we'll just have to see what happens within the next year to see what President Bush's chances are in getting re-elected.

Thanks Tom for the link - but what was it that Fritz said? This article mostly discussed his retirement.

I was talking about ole Fritzi LOL I agree with you on the issues that President Bush will have to deal with. The economy is beginning to turn around but we'll have to see if it continues. The N.Korean and Iranian issues I think favor President Bush. WHo in their right mind would rather have a Democrat to deal with these issues? ;-)

One comment was right after Hugo which everyone was on Fritz Hollings side, and it regarded Hurricane Hugo ... and he addressed it to FEMA ...

Somewhat of a Quote = "We need to see the red tape cut. We have people in need and they are allowing things to sit elsewhere. They are the biggest bunch of beaurocratic jackasses I've ever encountered. They wasting time trying to figure out how to deliver the meal after a nuclear disaster."

I may not be a democrat, but that speech Fritz gave on the Congress floor was the best one he's ever delivered.

One thing about Fritz he did speak his mind. It didn't matter if you were a republican or a Democrat. If Fritz thought you were the southbound end of a northbound going horse he said so:):)
