I almost put this question in the USA weather section but since my question isn't about a weather event I decided to place it here>:):)Anyways, who is your favorite TV weather person?
Even though I know live in Florida my favorite TV Met is Tom Skilling on WGN TV Chicago:):)

I also enjoy watching Tom Skilling on WGN-TV Chicago (WB affiliate only for those in the Chicago viewing area).
My favorite Orlando meteorologist is a toss up between WESH's Dave Marsh and WFTV's, Tom Terry.
In Boston my favorite meteorologist would be Harvey Leonard, who started on a Providence affiliate in the 1970's, was the chief meteorologist at WHDH-TV 7 for nearly 25 years and moved to another Boston affiliate becoming the co-chief meteorologist at WCVB-TV in August 2001.
I really liked Bruce Schwoegler who was on Boston TV (WBZ-TV 4) for nearly 30 years. He was basically fired for some unknown reason. He is still is working in the meteorology field.

Nice list of Mets:);0.. Maybe you know this. About maybe 8 to 10 years ago I used to get WOR in New York on my cable and they had this really wild guy doing the weather. He would start the forecast session off with a loud voice and say Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo New York or something to that effect. His forecast was something to watch really loud, almost like watching a friendly Sam Kinison lol.

Bruce "Cyclone" Jones in the evenings and Steve Beylon in the morning. Both from KSNT27 Topeka. http://www.ksnt.com

Thank you ameriwx.
Yes, I remember that meteorologist on WWOR-TV 9 (which shortly after becoming UPN was taken off the cable system[s] in southeastern Massachusetts). I am not sure what his name is.
WNDS-TV 50 in Derry, New Hampshire, which has a really different meteorologist, his name is Al Kaprielian. Talk about silly!

Ahhh..John Coleman. Do you recall that he's the daring TV met who jump-started TWC in Atlanta? Relationship didn't last long, though. Harry Volkman was another Chicago favorite as is Tom Skilling today. Dave Marsh at WESH became an ICON there...I think Roy Leep did likewise in Tampa. Bob McClain was an old weather friend from Indianapolis and pretty good at what he did. Vince Condella in Milwaukee was an energetic guy, too. Bob Baron...Louisiana maybe? And who was the guy at KCNC in Denver? Where is Larry Cosgrove these days? Anyone in the coverage area of Dan Threlkeld? Dick Goddard and his woolybear festival in Cleveland. George Graphos in Green Bay. Here in Phoenix, I like Dave Monsey here but Darlene Periconi was strong here for a while.
While Skilling was once my mentor, my all-time favorite is still the little known gal wxpal from Rockford IL, Sue Mroz. How could I say anything else about an OCM who called me "Snookums" on the air one night! Better Sue doing that than Skilling!!!

Yes, John Coleman got pushed out at TWC:):). If i remember correct he also was on a national show before returning to Chicago. Yes Roy Leep was an icon in the Tampa area:) I like Larry Cosgrove, I get his daliy weather e-mails and I enjoy reading his discussion of the weather and tropics. Wow Rockford IL... I lived there many moons ago as a kid.

My favorite still is Jim Cantore. No one mentioned TWC's Mets, so I'll be the first to do so!
Second would be local Met, Tim Hedrick. He works for Channel 12/WKRC/CBS afilliate in Cincinnati. The entire Channel 12 Team is my local wx authority. Conveniently that's their slogan too! But they are almost always 100% on the money, with forecasts. Hint of a big snowstorm coming - I turn to 12. They always give it to you straight. To compare, we have an overly enthusiastic local Met on Channel 19/FOX that is so excited when snow is predicted. He makes you think you're getting inches and you get flurries! He's good for a laugh, but Channel 12 is usually accurate. The FOX guy also pats himself on the back a lot - remember, you heard it first here on Ch. 19........the Ch. 12 guys never do that. A pet peeve of mine!

PS - I see Ed did mention Cantore. Oops, didn't see that first time reading posts. Something we agree on Ed!
