Well i had the afternoon off (few hours) and decided i could get to the top of a nearby "mountain"......i live just NW of boston .....so i could actually get to the summit of this Mt. in 50 minutes which i had no idea was so close by.
I will be adding some pictures (later tonite or tomm. afternoon) it was a very good view as i could see boston from the summit....which rises about 1500 feet up (elev. 2006 ft) the drive up is very "safe" so the biggest scaredy-cat could make the drive easily. The temp at the bottom was 63 degrees (330 pm) and the top was 55 so....not too bad but there was i would say a steady 25 mph wind with gusts near 30 or so at the top. My gf decided she wanted to do some hiking so we actually hiked down about 300 ft. elevation and then climbed back up.........lots of fun (not so much) but fun little trip.
Thursday I plan on getting up to Mt. monadnock (elev. 3100' or so) there is even a outside chance of a flurry or shower with temps near 40 at the top as a cold Upper level system has a few short waves rotating around it. Starting to seem a bit more fall like

There is actually a 345' hill in NW FL! Britton Hill, FL. It is the highest spot in FL.

Sorry for the hijack. Looking forward to the pictures.

Very nice! I'm surprised to see so few trees are changing colors up there...
