What Holiday foods are you ready to eat?

Through the years I have got some of my Grandma's recipes down....I know them by heart now...no cookbook needed....but there are still some dishes that NOONE can make but her! :D

So I am craving :lol: and we are so close to eating::::

A giant 20lb turkey
Pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream
Cornbread dressing
Green bean casserole
Squash casserole (that I make)
Sweet potato souffle
Homemade yeast rolls

So what are ya'll craving? :D 8-) :flag:

Almost started putting down what I am really craving but it's not Christmas so since we are not doing Thanksgiving this year:

Turkey with stuffing and brown gravy...the skin really dark brown and crispy
My mom's mashed potatoes
homemade cole slaw
red wine
dinner rolls
banana cream pie
Folger's coffee with a wee bit of Irish Cream
Sleep :lol:

I am ready for some Turkey, stuffing, Cranberry sauce, yams, pumpkin pie and OF COURSE FOOTBALL ON THANKSGIVING!! I will be watching The giants game at 1020am friday morning (13 hours ahead of east coast time)

For Thanksgiving...

- Turkey & Stuffing with Gravy
- Cranberry Sauce
- Cheesy Potatoes
- Stuffed Celery
- Apple Pie
- Sweet Coleslaw

For Christmas...

Pretty much the same thing, but instead of turkey & stuffing and cranberry sauce, I have Honey-glazed Ham...and the day after, fried chicken.

Just had "all of the above" last weekend for Canadian Thanksgiving!

PUMPKIN PIE!

I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday. And if there's two things I love, they're mentioned above.

Well Christmas.........

A huge honey baked ham
broccoli casserole
scalloped potaotes (dad makes)
fresh collard greens with smoked ham hock


And of course on New Years Day...a huge pot of black-eyed peas with smoked ham hock! :ggreen: Brings ya good luck and I sure as heck need it!!! :ggreen: 8-)
