Agreed, this thing is looking nothing like what it did when it was farther south in the loop current just 10 hours ago. In fact it looks exactly as i expected, a sheared system with more oranges (and soon more yellows) showing up on IR --- the higher lattitudes are starting to get to her. I really questioned a hurricane into the Northern Gulf coast for reasons such as shear, cooler SSTs, and drier continental air that usually infiltrates these systems just before landfall (especially now that we are in November). This weakening trend is of course great news.
