Webcam shot from my house

I finally got my webcam working, and uploading to my ftp server for my website.

The image updates every 15 minutes.

I don't have anything that I can do that with, except using my digital camera for weather shots (and boy, am I having fun using that camera in the last 2 weeks!)

Hey, thanks, weatherwunder! You're lucky to have a webcam!
I haven't even dug into my pockets for a digi-cam, yet! I DID
read in USA Today where a company is coming out out with a
throw-away digital camera, similar to the regular toss-out
cams that one can buy at Walmart...you can take it to a 1-hr
photo center and they load the pics on a CD for you....
Aaaah....I am the cheapskate....! :wink: :D

i'd love to get a 247 cam going... is it hard? i have DSL and am always on. got FTP, host, the whole nine yards. care to share any tips? p

It is really not that difficult. The software I use is free, and is located here:

It is really easy to set-up. Mine is just looking out the front window of my study.
