Stephanie,
There a number of lakes here in Lakeland. One near my house is called Crystal Lake. Another one a mile or so from my house is Lake Hollingsworth, a very popular place to walk since it is encircled by sidewalks; Another lake near me is Lake Mirror completely surrounded by sidewalks also but much smaller than the one I mentioned above. If you google Lakeland's map you will see why Lakeland was named. We have a lot of lakes both big and small.

I should've figured that out by your avatar!

I used to love watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom when I was young. It taught me early in life that the wild feed off of each other to live. While it's sad and disturbing to see a kill by a lion or a pick by a hawk, you can understand it's for survival only. Seeing that hawk get that squirrel would've upset me as well.

There was one early spring day that I went out to cleanup up the yard and saw a head of a small rabbit and a bunch of fur around. Needless to say, I knew a hawk came to visit. I buried it. :(
