We just had an extremely heavy band move through as we're about to leave, and go out and film more. It's the heaviest snow, with the winds i have ever seen. I've seen heavier snow, but not with these strong winds, it's amazing.

Right now in Paradise, Tx we have heavy snow, gusty north winds and visibilties of less than a quarter of a mile... Not sure how much snow we have accumulated, but on my truck it looks to be 2 or 3 inches

Well, not much more than flurries here in Sherman/Denison. Lots of cold rain and some light snow, but nothing else. Congrats to those who got the white stuff!
Actually have seen the sun trying to peek through the clouds a time or two in last 45 minutes. Now 31 degrees but I guess we weren't meant to get a Christmas Eve snowstorm.
A little disappointed, but then again Christmas is about the birth of my Savior and my family. It's not about some Bing Crosby song.

Snow is coming down with some strong wind. I can only see about 1/2 mile if I did the distance on the maps correctly.

How much of this is likely to be on the ground still when I drive back up tomorrow to Dallas tomorrow afternoon?

Serenata, our area suppose to get down to 23-25 (maybe a little lower) tonight. However, it is suppose to get above freezing by the afternoon. Snow may still be present tomorrow afternoon in areas not directly exposed to the sun (even below freezing the sun's energy can still start melting the snow), but most of it should be gone by late afternoon tomorrow.
msstateguy83, I want to congratulate you on a excellent job in forecasting this event. You did an excellent job all around, and much quicker to catch onto the impending snow than some of the models were.

Thanks! Just wondering. It would be nice to come back home to at least a little snow on the ground.

What part of Austin are you in? My feeble mind can't remember. I know radar shows snow down to Georgetown and Round Rock.

I can verify that. Not a pro, but man it's coming down.
