Flurries in Austin! Excellent Portastorm. Nice snowbands N of Austin. Down here in Houston we have pre-IKE winds gusting between 30-40mph.

Same here, temps are moving into the 20s so whatever falls will most likely stick like glue.

Not sure which part of* south Dallas you live in but here we're still getting fairly heavy snow, and we have an inch on the ground.

It seems as if areas I-35e and east have been dry slotted. West have gotten good snows.

35E seemed to act as an invisible boundary, the moderate to heavy stuff had a very hard time passing that line all day long. Doesnt look like it will happen at all now, as the low looks to be lifting out quickly. Here @ The Colony, we had some good stuff very early, then we sat on the edge of the heavier snow for hours and missed all of it.

Luckily I live just 5 minutes from the Tarrant County line so I've got to see the heavy snow and then it dies out over us. We have an inch on the ground, and it has let up at the moment but just a few minutes ago it was almost like blizzard out, and the roofs are so awesome looking when the snow blows off of it.

About the same here in Irving (wnw Dallas county). Looks like the last real meat of the last snow bands is pushing through Parker and Tarrant counties. Hopefully everyone who missed it earlier will get a good dusting from this.

Looks like this band is holding up it should hit my area, at least. I'll be watching this might be the hardest one yet.

And about the temperatures, areas with a snow cover looks to me like teens is a good call tonight. It's already in the mid 20s around the area. I think the mid 20s prediction by the nws is a bit optimistic

http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=FWS&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes
Radar shows heavest snow coming into southern Tarrant and Johnson Co. Heavy snow all the way thru Parker Co, will move thru my area as well
center of my front yard has 2.5 inches, with 4" drifts against the fence

It's coming down pretty hard now, I can see about 3/4 houses down and that's about it.

Most of the area is sitting around 28-30. Concerns for ice should now become an issue.
