Lol, nice. Next storm I think we're still due for a big one that covers the whole area. Probably like Mid January, just my guess.

Don't think so, what makes you think so?
On a few of the runs it looked like more was building to the SW of the area. Might have been just it getting stronger or something.

We're also overdue for another ice storm. We haven't really seen much in the sense of shallow arctic air yet, just deep Canadian\Polar air.

I just went for a 30min run around the UNT campus here in Denton. It was awesome. Snow blowing in my face, the campus looks so cool covered in snow. I know I got a few "that guy is crazy looks" but hey I ran in the snow in Texas!!!!!
Took this picture while I was out there with my camera on my phone.

Re: Texas winter wx thread (2009-2010)
Sure, Houston has seen a greater frequency of snow events in February than than any other month, but the total number of snow events for Houston is too low to say that February is somehow climatically more favorable than January.

I was speaking for Texas in general, but I do get your point. Difficult to really get any in southeast Texas.

Well it is for North Texas anyway. Thats usually when we get the biggest snow/ice events. If theres ever a time to get a day off of school, its usually february.

Actually, Houston has seen just as many snow events in January as February. The 20" extremely anamalous snow event just happened to occur in Februrary...

The same applies for North Texas. In fact, there is nothing to indicate that February is any snowier than December....

Except personal experience at least for me here in north Texas. Past decade or so MY experience with Dec\Jan are with ice storms and usually snow in Feb.
