I thought this area was for our predictions? I'm confused.

Nop. "Talking tropics" is to talk about systems that affect the tropical regions except for tropical cyclones, here you can talk about tropical waves, tropical disturbances, cold fronts, etc but if there is an active tropical cyclone we discuss it in the "Active Storms" forum. There you can make your forecasts and post your opinions about the systems.

This is exactly what the board description says.

"Talkin' Tropics
This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path. All amateur forecasts will require a STORM2K disclaimer (Disclaimer can be found at the top of the forum) at the top for their forecast.
