ROTFL! According to Channel 5 in Dallas, the Winter Weather Advisory starts now, instead of at 9:00 a.m. HA!

These snow totals need to go way up and above warning criteria. HPC has updated their numbers to include a moderate risk of greater than 4 inches across the majority of North Texas, with a slight risk of greater than 8 inches.

It's definitely accumulating here both on the grass and roadways/sidewalks where I'm currently located at. I just went out to snap some photos of the snow, and a white coat is starting to develop on the sidewalks/streets that I can see.

I have 1 inch now in Midlothian -- we briefly changed to sleet but then back came the snow and now we are getting the big wet flakes.

Aren't we all? Dallas ISD has already made a statement that they WILL be open. Not sure that's wise. I think parents are going to have a hard time picking their kids up in about 10 hours....could be wrong....

Reports of icing on bridges and overpasses, as usual. Morning rush is about to pick up, the problems are slowly starting to stack up.

You know, it's forecasts like we're seeing today that stuck all of those people on the freeways in wichita falls at christmas. I understand being cautious, but wow, they're still holding school with more accumulations expected throughout the day. That just makes for a bigger mess later. Temps are already falling to freezing at most airports around dfw except collin county and they're down to 33.

As usual, plano isd has refused to close as of yet. Snow everywhere now, and the street is covered. Gonna be a fun drive to school this morning...
