31ºf this am in Houston. Now up to a blistering 33.1ºf. The 50ºf high expected today isn't looking too good right now with the amount of cloud cover still off to our West and North.

Just up the road to your N we were 35 this morning for the low and setting at 43 now. A full 20+ degrees below climo for high temps for 3 days now with little if any rainfall so far. It's cold!

That 31.8ºf was short lived I think as I watched the thermometer(digital) waver between 32 and 35 most of the time before I went to bed. IIRC, it was at 33.1ºf when I hit the sack early this am.

-20F (-29C).
We've been in a mild pattern lately though. This is actually our first -20F (or lower) reading since January 9, which is actually a month ago.
Snow-wise though, we're still way below normal. We haven't seen much snow in the last month. There is about a foot on the ground, but it's all old crusty stuff left over from over a month ago.

Red Wing-
I'm just south of u in across the river from La Crescent. Yesterday you could really tell the sun has gotten higher/stronger with some melting, even with 20F afternoon temps. Loving these sunny days.

The low this morning was 29F, no frost, sunny skies this morning, good for the Mardi Gras parades today except for the cold.

NW Colorado around Craig, I've been there. I'm not sure most people realize how cold it can get in that area at night, still, cloudless nights with great radiational cooling. You step outside and it just smacks you in the face and drains all the heat right out of you.
Low in Miami today was 63F, achieved at 4:04AM.
